    Glock .22LR Conversion Kits

I would like to purchase at Glock .22LR conversion kit for the wife, newbies I take out to the range, and my mechanics as needed. I see they go for about $250 or so.

However, I can't find any in stock at my normal vendors. Any suggestions where I could find one? Particularly the Advantage Arms L.E. 17-22 for the Glock 34.

Additionally, if there is anyone who does not believe this to be a wise purchase, I am all ears.

    Thanks.

I definitely suggest you get one. I've got the LE 17-22 kit and it's a quality piece of machinery. You can probably order one and just wait for them to ship it out when they fill the backorders, but they also pop up in the for sale section on occasion. They go quick though so you'll have to really watch the forum. You can also check gunbroker periodically. There are always a few on there.

I have an Advantage Arms LE conversion for my G34. It works extremely well, although it has the same slide configuration as a G17, so the sight radius will be different from your 34 and it will feel extremely light. Some people are bothered by the lack of heftiness. Others don't seem to mind.

It did take some experimentation with different types of ammo to make it run properly, but that was half the fun. I started out with CCI Minimags because they will run in just about anything. Then I started buying the milk-carton boxes of ammo to see how that stuff ran. AA says to stay away from certain brands, but I can't remember what they were and I'm too lazy to dig out the box.

If you order it from AA, just make sure to get at least one extra mag. They can be hard to come by.

I had an early version that had some problems but my current production model is accurate and it will shoot the cheap (not AA recommended) Federal ammo. If you decide that it is not for you, you can easily sell it.
