This new Sig 522 better not suck, I just ordered one...

So I went to Turners and got the ball rolling on one of these Sig522's... I was contemplating the S&W .22's as well. May still get on one. I was noticing that the Sig came with the sts 081 sight. Is there any reviews on these? It's the same on that comes on some of the 556 rifles and pistols....
I know these sell for 200 bucks or more all day long, so with the optic the gun seems like a decent deal...
Do you guys think the barrel will be threaded on the CA spec models?

I have one that came w/ my Sig556 - it's an OK red dot but $100 is the max I'd pay for one and only because it has Sig painted on the side of it. I definitely wouldn't pay $200 - for almost the same I can get a Bushnell Holosight.

They first told me its not out yet, I asked them to look it up, they were shocked it was there. No delivery date as of yet... I'm getting it through the LB Turners... Pretty cool peoples.

Also fyi, they had 7.62 x 39, 562 & .45 wolf there about 15 boxes of each as of 12 or so today.

I tried out this sight last week on my frineds new 556, and was pretty underwhelmed by it. It may be better on a .22lr than the 556 due to generally shorter ranges that it will be used at. I didn't find that the sight fit in the rifles iron sights as well as it could have - I would have expected it to co-witness much better.

Anyone know if it's possible to attach a standard 556 handguard or stock to the 522?
