10/22 speed loader

I've been loading my 10/22 mags by hand for years now ... I think it's time to pick up a speed loader. What are you guys using?

i got the butler creek one but i have loads of butler creek magazines

since i got the gsg drum i dont use the butler creeks much i think it holds about 120

I used to use the Butler Creek one, but have moved to the Lightnin, because with the adapters, you can loader multiple different makes and models of .22 magazines, like the M&P 15-12, Buckmark, etc., etc.

BTW, these are both WONDERFUL ! ! ! ! and it makes life much easier when teaching kid how to shoot, as they can empty a magazine faster that one could conventionally load.

Not sure if you are serious.... but I have about 20 magazines, mixed capacities....But I usually only bring 6-8....is that not enough? Even with those magazines pre-loaded, that wouldn't last 10 minutes.

I actually just picked up the McFadden for use on the CMMG 22lr magazines.... I like that it uses adapters but what do I do if I bring both my 10/22 and my AR22? How's the Butler Creek loader for the 10/22? Is it worth it?

I try to use a custom one I have that’s 14yo, since she’s usually the shooter, but she isn’t always reliably available. I’ll pickup the lightning. Which adapter for factory 10/22 mags? The adapter page has one listed specifically as NOT for factory mags. I have 8 factory 10rd mags (trying to get previously mentioned loader setup for steel challenge, this is last item I need)

In a word, no.
They are not that durable.

I agree, the interchangeability is nice... but having to swap out the adapters each time I need to load a different platform seems like a hassle... and then I have the "issue" with feeding my AR22 different ammo than my 10/22... I'd rather buy another speed loader dedicated to the 10/22 and I think the Maglula might be it.

I have the Butler Creek, it’s way faster than loading by hand. It’s not a perfect tool, but the more you use it, the easier and more efficient it becomes.
