Bought this the other day and got it picked it from my FFL.
Anyone else own one these? Have you had any problems with case ruptures? Marlin only made them a few years supposedly because of problems with some kabooming.
Most people I have seen that own them never experienced the problem though. Seems a lot of the problems back when they were new, may have been more related to the defective Mach 2 ammo when it first came out. I think they fixed the problem somewhat by changing powder type to regular .22 rimfire powder. And improved the cases themselves.
I cleaned it up and did fire two flawless mags through it. Fed, fired and ejected very nicely. All the spent cases looked perfect.
I will see in the long run if I encounter any kabooms. But so far, so good. I kinda bought it as a collector piece more than a shooter anyway. They are very hard to find as production was short lived. And those that do own them seem to not want to give them up.
Looked a long time to even find one to buy..Thanks
