I recently picked up a varmint 457 last month from riflegear. Alot heavier than I thought it'd be, accuracy is phenomenal, and overall its a great shooter.

Anything specific you want to know?

Edit:

Forgot to mention, get the area 419 30moa over the DIP rails. The extra height from the 419 ensures that the rings won't interfere with your bolt and will prevent your scope throw lever from hitting your stock. Ask me how i know.

I have a varmint in .17HMR and have considered either getting a .22lr barrel for it or getting another 45x in .22lr. I think they're outstanding rifles, especially for the price.

With no modifications mine shoots .6 inch groups at 100 yards with 15.5 grain Hornady NTX ammo. A halfway decent bench shooter could probably improve upon that.

I have a 457 Trainer (the wood stock version) and I love it! Extremely accurate, and the trigger is quite good. It was heavier than I expected, but it's very solid and looks and feels more expensive than it is. With a bipod and scope, I've seen a few 50 yard groups that can be covered by a penny!

I recently bought a .22WMR varmint barrel to try shooting some magnum rounds but I haven't mounted it yet. I really dig that the rifle can shoot multiple calibers!

FWIW, my .22LR Kadet Kit on my CZ 75 SP-01 frame shows just how good CZ is at making rimfire weapons. Zero FTFs and the exact same legendary accuracy. Amazing!

I have a pro varmint 22LR. Amazing gun. It's my covid gun. Super accurate and ammo is obtainable...but most importantly, my funnest gun to shoot, hands down. I like the short barrel, it allows me to carry it in a AR 15 carbine sized bag.
