Thread protector - lightest weight. The faux suppressor looks cool but most are steel and stupid heavy for a pistol. If any type of brake or can, then aluminum not steel. Any muzzle device that has small holes on a rimfire gets dirty fast so it is more work to clean than any benefit. If you want something to put on the end to look cool that's okay. Just hand tighten and you can take it off when shooting. You won't feel the difference.

My .22LR AR has a Levang linear compensator attached. Yes, it's heavy but very effective. With 6 independent chambers for gas disbursement it allows me to shoot it outdoors without the need for plugs.

Yes, it works better than the KAW's I also have.

Anyone use a Noveske Flying Pig on a 15-22?

I bought a small cheap "sound forwarder" off ebay, light aluminum construction (.9oz IIRC), and seemed to work fairly well to reduce the sound to the shooter.

Cost under $15, and I was actually pleasantly surprised with how well it worked, others I tried didn't seem to have much effect. Didn't add much to the overall length either, which I count as a plus.

standard birdcage is sufficient. Or just get a thread protector. If you have $300 burning a hole in your pocket and want cool factor, I would get a Surefire muzzle device and throw on a Surefire Warden.

Never heard of a Noveske flying pig.
Are you sure you are not talking about Wayne's World?

Maybe if he had a Noveske Flaming Pig screwed on badly, it would become a Flying pig?
