OP, I don't have your same rig so can't speak to it specifically.

I use the Wilson Combat TR TTU drop in trigger in conjunction with a dedicated PSA .22 cal upper. The trigger is about 4 lbs. It has been reliable and feels much better than standard mil-spec.

Wilson Combat has been the innovator in custom pistols, long guns, and accessories since 1977. Home of the Wilson Combat 1911, EDC X9, WCP320, and more!

Note the manufactuer's comment about using high or hyper velocity ammo for best reliability. Personally, I have used the following ammo without problems:

      - CCI Blazer 22 Long Rifle Ammo 40 Grain Lead Round Nose

      - Federal AutoMatch 22 Long Rifle Ammo 40 Grain Lead Round Nose 325 Rounds

      - CCI mini mags in round or hollow point.

      Hope this helps OP.

      Good luck.

I have a tactical solutions upper. Had some issues, sent them an email, did as they suggested. No problems after that.

        Their response:
There are several triggers that will work, as long as the hammer is rounded and the hammer spring is not to heavy it should function just fine, black dog mag’s are the only ones we can guarantee to work, Remington Golden and American eagle ammo are the only two rounds we do not recommend in the AR Uppers.

I have a homebuilt dedicated AR using 2A Arms bolt group and barrel. I have the 3.5lb CMC single stage trigger that has been working for me. It likes most Federal ammo except for Auto Match, all CCI products, Aguila Std Velocity. My rifle doesn't like Remington Golden Bullet or Thunderbolt or Winchester M22, USA or Wildcat. I use Black dog mags both plastic and steel.

Thanks a lot guys. I wanted to see feedback before plopping down the $. On the PSA upper, do you know if the firing pin is spring returned? My friend has a PSA dedicated 22 but I never disassembled it. Honestly it looks very similar to CMMG on first glance so my first thought would be yes has the spring return firing pin.

It sounds like 3.5-4 pounds is lowest pull weight/hammer strength that will be reliable. Maybe I’ll give my 3.5 pound CMC a try also...I actually really like the CMC trigger, I got it for $100 so can’t complain. I’d be inclined to go up to 4-4.5 just to have that margin or error and also I don’t clean my 22 AR until it starts to malfunction. Even then I rarely patch the barrel, I just clean the fouling from the action and keep going.

I used a $39 RTB Teflon coated NiB trigger and a 10 buck Joe Bob's trigger adjuster. A 3 lb yellow spring set was used.

Smooth, easy, no creep, crisp break.

                  My 1st 80% was salvaged by a drop-in trigger.

Sear surfaces are pre-hardened on some triggers. Stoning them takes that off. If they come polished you won't need to do that.

I have had a good experience with the Larue MBT-2S and at $87 shipped, match quality 2 stage trigger at 4 lb.
