    Anschutz is your only destination.

Anschutz North America is the North American importer of the German Anschutz rifles.

Remington model 37 rangemaster is the most accurate 22 rifle I own or ever will own. Bench shooting is it's wheel house. The trigger measures in the ounces and everything mechanical just slides smooth and needs very little effort. Old school hand fitted rifle and is dead nuts accurate with good ammo. Think 1/2" or better @100yd neighborhood.

At auction you can find one in sub $1k range.
Mine is currently in a state of preservation.

Remington 40X 22lr would do well also. Easily made to shoot scary good.

If you want to upgrade from 452, the answer is Anschutz.
If you want to downgrade, any other rifle.

Vudoo Gun Works is releasing a single shot action soon (V-22s).

Stiller Precision/Actions was sold, but the rimfire actions were retained by Jerry Stiller and the 2500X is being made and sold uder the Holeshot Arms name.

If you want a repeater, the Vudoo V-22 and Stiller 2500XR are magazine fed actions. The Vudoo is probably more desirable because of the 700 footprint (and AICS style mags). Zermatt Arms Inc has the RimX which is similar to the Vudoo V-22.

From a reputation standpoint, it seems like the 2500X is a great choice for a bench shooter. The Vudoo V-22s (single-shot) is still not available, yet, but it could be a great benchrest action.

Several options are out there, depending upon how serious you are about bench shooting. There are Kimber 82G target rifles that came from the CMP. I have one and I had trigger work done that got the trigger down to 8 ounces. It likes Wolf Match Extra and shoots under 1/4 inch with it at 50 yards, with an occasional flyer - gotta love rimfire ammo.

I have a Remington 40X, also from the CMP, that shoots better than the Kimber, liking Eley Match around 1058 FPS. I have a Harrell tuner on that. A Jewell trigger at about 4 ounces. It will beat most anything that is not a high dollar custom rifle and barrel.

Anschutz makes excellent rifles. And there are custom rifles built just for rimfire benchrest.

Your budget will limit your choice.

Cheapest way out is a re-barrel, nothing wrong with either action.
I have a Kimber 82G, it's a tinkerer's rifle, not an out of the box winner but can be made to shoot well.
I also have an H&R 12, poor mans Win 52 along with my 1958 Model 4 Brno, both very accurate.

Bench + Up step = Anschutz.
Some model is about $1.45K, that is my next rifle if I feel itchy, the only thing stopping me is its weight.

The rifles you cited are not really bench rifles as the OP is looking for. Those Anschutz configurations are more for 3-position shooting. Anschutz does sell rifles in a benchrest configuration that are better suited to ride front rests and rear bags. https://www.anschutznorthamerica.com...st-models.html

I am also a member of Rim Fire Central, and a member put this 452 together for his young son as a bencher. He had a gunsmith re-barrel it with I believe a Shilen barrel. He reports it is a great shooter.
