Walther MP5 22lrs gone?

Just went to check the usual websites and noticed the Walther MP5 22LR is no longer available. I assumed Umarex stopped production of them?

They were made under contract for H&K.

H&K chose not to renew the contracts and discontinued them.

My dad has one and wanted a replacement barrel. He contacted hk, and they sold him the very last one, allegedly... Sweet little 22s. Haven't shot it but the look and feel are exceptiona.

I'm very happy with mine - tens of thousands of rounds at this point and absolutely rock solid. I highly recommend picking it up if you can find it.

I got mine a couple years ago from big 5. At that time it seemed that every store near me had couple in stock. Might be a long shot but maybe some random store may still have one sitting around.

You can find them on gunbroker still.
After reading your post, I looked the firearm up on youtube and it looks pretty sweet. Wish I had purchased one from big5 years ago.

I'm glad I got mine when they were available. Since then, I've put probably < 200rds through it. Great plinkers and never had any issues.

Get one if you can. I highly recommend them, and they are an absolute blast to shoot. I have both the SD and A5 model (A5 is more common), I prefer the A5 for the slim front hand guard.

I also have an early GsG-5 before the lawsuit and quality and reliability is not up par compared to the Walther version. I hear the newer version is not that bad (GSG-16) though.

I wasn't in the market for one, I actually went in to pick up a PPT after my 10 day. FFL had the A5 displayed on the shelf. I've seen and read few post about how dependable and reliable they were, one thing led to another and after another 10 day, I came home with it.

For me it didn't matter if it was the SD or A5 model, my decision was made easy due to the fact that the SD was not in stock and A5 was , plus it was on sale at the time of purchase. I don't see what the hype is all about on the SD model, everyone seems to prefer that .
