I'm picking up a Belgian Browning 22 semi auto rifle from Krausewerk - skinny little takedown model, weighs about 5 lbs - and it has the cantilever scope mount set up on it. The gun is very slender and I want to mount a small scope on it, but nothing so large as to look out of place. I presume those older Weaver 3/4" rimfire scopes (B6 for example) alot of us used are 1) garbage or 2) no longer around - am I right?

Any suggestions on what small scope I can put on this thing?

Consider this Weaver 4x Shotgun Scope on sale at Natchez. They call it a shotgun scope, but it has a standard duplex recticle.
Go to rimfirecentral.com and do a search on it... Lots a positive comments and recommendations from folks looking for a short, compact rimfire scope.

I have one and it is very clear and bright. I mounted it on my Marlin 39A lever gun when I was trying a bunch of different ammo to find it's favorite.
Hell, I even stuck it on my S&W revolver when I was trying to determine it's favorite ammo. It's not currently mounted because I prefer iron sights.

For the price, it's a deal.

You can get the old Weaver rimfire scopes pretty cheap on ebay, but if you have problems with one, you're out of luck.

They're good scopes for the money if you can find a clean one.
