    HK416 barrel question

    I tried search menu with no success.

    The HK416 with 8.5 barrel is it CA legal? Thanks!

      No.

      If you're talking about a Walther .22lr HK416 rifle then you need a 16" barrel.

      If you're talking about a Walther .22lr HK416 pistol then you are dealing with the California Roster of Handguns and that make and model is not on it.

              The H&K/Walther/Umarex HK416.22 Pistol has all of the features.

              It's "shroud" is also considered a "second handgrip".

              Under CA laws/regulations, a "second handgrip" is any grip or surface, other than the pistol's primary grip, that is designed or intended to be utilized (gripped) by the non-trigger hand to assist the shooter in weapon control (handling/stabilizing/etc).
