Custom .22 Trainer from American Precision Arms

I finally picked up my .22 Trainer from APA yesterday after long wait.

Specs:

Builder: American Precision Firearms formally Patriot Arms

Action: Saka Quad
Barrel: Lilja Custom 21" barrel chambered for EPS Match Ammo
Stock: Manner's custom T4 for the Sako Quad so that the trigger is where a M700 would be.
Scope mount was by US Optics. 20MOA Cant to get us out to 200yards.

She takes 5 and 10 round mags however Sako is very proud of their 10 rounders at 60.00 a pop! =(

Bolt handle was by APA as well.

Stock is full size so getting behind it feels just like getting behind my competition rigs.

Yup....The only thing on this build I wish for was a LH action...however my pockets are not deep enough to find a custom 22 rimfire action yet.

Word has it that Stiller will be making one soon so I may end up selling this rig sooner or later to build a nice custom 22. Since it is a trainer I do not mind the RH bolt.

It will be used to practice my positional shooting more than anything.

Thanks. The guys that were apart of this group build are reporting some wicked groups with theirs. I believe 30 of these were built, it took a while and was not light on the wallet but I think she will be worth it.

Great training tool for positional shooting due to the full size stock that is very close to my Mcmillan A5s. I am going to have a 223AI built for long range training in the future. Save my comp barrels for the bigger matches.
