Which 22lr AR style mags. are capable of being converted into standard cap. if/ when Duncan v. Becerra is decided in our favor making it is legal to do so?

I bought a NIB dedicated 22LR upper since freedom week and haven't used it yet because I still don't have magazines for it. Now that I'm working from home because of SARS-COV-2, the upper has been haunting me so I will pull the trigger and make the purchase this week. I just hate the idea of buying magazines that will be low cap. forever even if/when our constitutional rights are returned to us.

The CMMG magazines seem to have screws but I haven't heard anyone talk about taking them apart to comvert a 10/30 into a 30/30 (haven't heard anyone talk about taking one apart period). It's a CMMG bolt so I like this idea if it's feasible.

There are videos of the M&P 15-22 mags. being converted from low cap. to standard cap. but then I have to buy an adapter (which I do realize can afford me bolt catch functionality--I really like that in terms of muscle memory--but bolt-catch functionality is a whole other discussion altogether).

Use mine all the time for training purposes (.22 is cheaper than 5.56!) - NEVER had a jam in THOUSANDS of rounds fired over 10 years.

I use Black Dog and a set of clear Sig mags I got cheap years ago. All still work fine.

Yeah, that's what I have too and the SIG ones were made by BD anyway, AFAIK.

BD makes plastic lipped ones and steel lipped ones... I have quite a few of both types in various sizes and they work for AR22 and 522.

I have over a dozen Black Dog Smoke and Black mags, all highly reliable. Some have 20rd bodies and some with 30rd bodies. I've observed there is a small plastic tab that blocks the follower and acts as a limiter.

Most of mine are black except the Sig ones and the drums.

Look into the chiappa 22lr magazines. They may not be around alot, but they have been very reliable to me. They are basically identical, the only difference is the ten round magazines are pinned to limit them to ten rounds, the 28 round magazines do not have the pin.

Converted my CMMG 10/30s during freedom week. All I did was unbolt the halves and pull out a roll pin. They have always ran great for me.
