    Sounds like the barrel wasn't that tightly torqued down to the trunion in the first place. Good luck.

      Nope. What gets me is the barrel isn’t even threaded. It’s held in place by a bracket with 4 screws.

        I would use a chamber reamer.
        It will cut out any tight spot at the chamber mouth and rim counterbore.

            Hopefully it's only the rim counterbore that you were enlarging.
            The finish of the rim counterbore won't matter because the rim does not fully expand to seal there.
            If you also went into the chamber and left a file finish, fired cases might stick.
            Use a ball hone to smooth out the chamber if you get extraction problems on fired cases.
