A guy I know overhauled a Buck Mark with tac sol barrel and other
upgrades; I did not get a chance to shoot it, just handled it. I did
observe him shoot steel with it; a real competition level tack driver!

I have several of the Pac-lite uppers for the Mk series pistols including the Mk 4. I love them. They are light and very accurate. I even have one of the older versions that does not have a threaded muzzle. They are all threaded from the factory now. That is the one draw back I see. If you get one you have to pin and weld the muzzle with either a thread protector or a muzzle break before you bring it in to California. I take a few pics later of the ones I have.

Off roster AND NFA so you will do much better to ask about them outside of CA.

I've got a not-suppressed 6" version Pac-Lite Ruger version. Shoots great, looks great, paid more for it than I should have, often think about selling it because it's not THAT much better than a regular Mk pistol, and I shoot my S&W41 more often now.
