problem with winchester model 250

hey guys took my grandfathers old 250 out to angles over the weekend and had a shell explode and now the lever action gets stuck when you go to open the lever action it just wont open you can "pry"/ help it open with a key or anything by putting it in the eject port
any thoughts or good Winchester smiths in la area?

took it apart soaked oiled cleaned everything and its still doing it but now it only does it if i fire it
so the lever action works fine till i pull the trigger any thoughts?
