I polished the feed ramp, cleaned the magazine spotless as well as chamfering areas of the magazine that might be binding. Also used higher velocity ammo. That appears to be the solution. Didn't want to dig for the CCI so I went with Browning BPR @ 1435 fps. Seems to work.

Sometimes a gun just needs a little TLC! Sounds like you got the kinks worked out and have a fun shooter now!

The funniest part about shooting the CCI Stinger rounds is how F-ing loud they are. I still get funny looks from other lanes when I shoot mine. Of course, then my wife starts basting away with her 45.
It was not a threat. It was an exaggerated response to an uncompromising stance. I was taught never to make a threat unless you are prepared to carry it out and I am not a fan of carrying anything. Even watching other people carrying things makes me uncomfortable. Mainly because of the possibility they may ask me to help.

Sig mosquitos are problematic (as are many 22 semi auto’s). They’re not even made by Sig. I had one all sorts if misfeeds and stove pipes using CCI mini mags. Polishing the feed ramp helps but it’s not a cure.I bought it to emulate firing a full sized Sig & CZ but the tigger feel isn’t even close. I bought a Sig 22 conversion slide and a CZ Kadet conversion slide. CZ conversion is the better of the two.
If you find yourself in a fair fight, you're doing it all wrong.

Get your hands on a Ruger SR22 if you can. Similar to Mosquito but very reliable. Prices in the Marketplace have come down.

There is an easy fix to your Mosquito problem. Sell Mosquito, use money to buy Ruger Mk II, III or IV, or Browning Buckmark.
Your Mosquito problem is solved, enjoy your day at the range.

Sadly, I recommended a SIG Mosquito 22 to a family member (hey, it's a SIG right?)---the damn thing never worked well---EVER!---it was bought new, the gun store danced around the problems (constant jamming) and offered new magazines---try different ammo, etc. We went out and bought a box of EVERY 22 ammo then available including the "Gold Star" recommended CCI Mini Mags---NONE would work reliably---SIG offered to fix it and it was sent back to them---came back with more new magazines and polished feed ramp---still no good! Different springs, different ammo, different shooters---NOTHING WORKED---the pistol was dropped back into it's box and remains in a corner of the garage---maybe someone will steal it... Buy something that says Ruger or Browning on it and enjoy a day at the range...

There's a fellow Calgunner looking for a 22 semi-auto. If you don't want it he may be your solution. On the other hand, he wants to use it to introduce his girls to shooting. The sig would probably be a bad introduction.

Hey Dirtlaw---there's nothing more frustrating than trying to teach someone to shoot than a gun that constantly jams! Shooting a 22 should be fun and relaxing, not interrupted by a gun that refuses to work... Personally, I've taught LOTS of people, young and old, to shoot and do so safely---my guns of choice for teaching is either my old Nylon 66 or a Ruger 10-22---both 100% reliable and fun...!

I have heard many others say the Sig Mosquito prefers the CCI minimags over all others. I have a Sig Mosquito new in the box but have never fired it as I also have a S&W 617-4 10 shot revolver that is so accurate and sweet to shoot I just have never un-boxed the Sig. Being a revolver the 617 handles anything.

I guess it just luck of the draw. Love my Mosquito using CCI MiniMags. It's almost 2 years now. I shoot it every Sunday during the NFL off-season 50-100 rounds before moving on the my CCW stuff. Haven't had any problems. I also have the GSG FireFly that gets out of the safe about once a month for my grandson. We clean after each Range session, don't skimp on oil and ready to go for the next time. Also have a GSG 1911 with a BUNCH of mods that my son likes to get in our family competitions. Everything is stripped when we get home and throughly cleaned. NO ISSUES !! We only use CCI MiniMag.

I've never had an issue with anything rated at 1400 FPS and I've put a couple thousand rounds through mine now.

Sadly, my brother's Walther will eat any rounds he puts in it and fire every time. His gun was less expensive too. Dammit!
