    Rossi M62SA safety removal

Finally got sick of the wart on the top of the bolt of my Rossi M62SA.

    Much better now.

The part is sold to fill the safety hole on the Rossi M92 lever action, but with a few minutes worth of grinding works just as well on the 62 pump.

I'm not brave enough to tackle the markings yet. Just the paint filler...

Who sells the part? I have a 92 and removed the safety, clipped the little wing. But it is a blued steel part and the above looks better.

You can get a little plastic plug for a lot less that the unit above. Works just as good.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

That must be a newer model or CA approved configuration?
None of my rossi's have that part.

The Rossi 92s all have the lawyer safety, it's nothing to do with Ca.
I've purchased 4 of them since 2012, they all have it. But we're talking center fire cartridges not rimfire, we kind of went off topic with the 92s

This one is from 2002. The safety came into play during the time that Taurus bought Rossi. The M62 hasn't been produced in a long time.

The M92 lever guns got the safety about 1999/2000.

I notice he has a peep rear that takes the place of the safety. Hmmmmm.

I toyed with that idea, but just ordered a Skinner barrel mounted peep sight instead. I decided I didn't want the sight on the bolt. I have the skinner peep sights on my Henry Big Boy Steel and like it a lot.
