    DROS Question

I just DROS my first gun yesterday. it's a Savage 22lr rifle. My question is The DROS started on 04/30/09 at 2:55pm now when is the soonest I can pick it up? The gun shop that has it said the soonest would be 5/10/09 after 2:55pm. But it was my impression that if you count 04/30/09 then 10 days i would be able to pick it in on 05/09/09 after 2:55pm. Thanks for your help in clearing this up!

Well thats why i'm asking because the shop is not open Sun. Mon. or Tue. so i wouldn't be able to pick it up until Wed. And it was my understanding that from 4/30/09 to 5/9/09 was the 10 days and the 9th is a Sat. and they are open so i would be able to get it before having to wait until Wed.

10 "24 hour periods" from the time DROS was submitted. Looking at my calendar that would be 14:55 hours on 05/10/09.

You don't count 4/30/09 as your first day.
First 24 hour period ends 5/01/09.

Last 24 hour period ends 5/10/09.

I made that same mistake the very first time I dros'd a rifle. I counted the same day i drosed as day, went to pick up and they told i cant untill tommorow

I'm also waiting 11 days, but I pick my gun up on the 9th and lucky me the shop is only closed on sun and open on saturday

That is right 10 full 24 hour periods end on the 10th. Also other things that cost longer than 10 days are when the shop is closed and store policy. Big 5 and Sports Authority I believe both have 11 day waiting periods.
                Insert something clever here.
