Help with a Marlin 39A action problem

Can I get a recommendation for a gunsmith or a knowledgeable person who works on Marlin 39A or Golden Mounties? I have a new to me 39A built in 1957 that has an action cycle that is flat out worse than gritty.
Preferably located in the central valley area but I would consider shipping.

I have a Marlin Golden 39A, 1962 vintage, purchased brand new at the age of 12! These are really very simple actions, and can be disassembled, cleaned and inspected without any special tools that I can recall!
I would tear it down, clean it completely and inspect for any signs of galling, scraping, or burrs. Hand dress anything that looks worn and rough, being carful to polish, not remove any metal (burrs, yes ok to remove). Once all looks good, lube it and reassemble. Should be good to go.

If you don't have the manual for the 39A I would recommend getting one before disassembly, there is procedure for doing this and the re-assembly.

Being more visual, I used youtube.

One thing to watch out for is the extractor. It's really simple, but can fall out inadvertently.

Use the manual instructions to break the rifle down, buy a can of One Shot spray cleaner and dry lube, not the case lube. Spray everything you see down until it runs off , including all those nooks and crannies. Let dry and spray again. Reassemble and see how it does. I use One Shot a lot, great stuff, cleans and leaves a dry film of lube behind and it does not collect crappy stuff like oil does.

Marlin 39A was once dubbed the one screw take-apart rim fire rifle. Use a nickel on that big slotted head on the right side of the reciever. Be sure to clean the ammo tube and push rod. No point to clean the action if the tube is dirty and will reintroduce dirt into the action.

Penn, since your building up your Henry collection, you should trade me that old Marlin 39 that you have. I've got a beautiful Henry H001 that will go well with your other beautiful Henry's. Who wants that old, dirty Marlin hanging around in their safe.
