Pistol Grip Stock on a 10/22

Not sure if this is the right place to post this question but here goes:

Is a pistol grip stock 10/22 conversion legal in CA?

Pistol grips on 10/22s are legal as the AW laws only apply to CENTERFIRE rifles only. 10/22s are rimfire.

Well, I've decided to trick out my 10/22... I have an 11.5 inch barrel on it's way and a 5.5" carbine flash hider that will be welded on. Also on the way is a UTG Quad Rail. The thing should look pretty cool... most of the barrel will be hidden under the rail with the flash hider mounted just forward of the rail. I have a red dot to put on it and some old hi cap mags.

          What else should I consider??

Make sure that the barrel and flash hider are welded on together prior to you taking possession of it to avoid any SBR constructive possession issues...

The other issue to watch is mags. Nothing wrong with using a "high capacity" magazine in a 22LR - even with evil features - as these laws also only apply to center fire. HOWEVER - the ban on importation, sale, purchase, or manufacture of "high capacity" magazines still applies - regardless of the type of ammunition they hold. So hopefully you still have those 30 round 10/22 mags you bought pre-ban.
