    Ruger bx trigger group

Any comments on the bx trigger group, I have a ruger 10/22 with the spiral heavybarrel, I use for shooting off a bench from 25 to 50 yards.
    Just for target practice.

I have not done anything to the weapon yet, completely stock weapon,

Are they worth it or should I look for a better trigger group.

    Thanks

I'd look for better. The Kidd Trigger Job kit is much better, about $110 shipped. My 10/22T has a Kidd single-stage complete in it, but I tried one of my two-stage Kidds in it and bought another for it. Came in today's mail.

For bench work, the Kidd two-stage is the king. If yopu prefer a single stage, the Trigger Job feels about the same as the single stage complete, but for the price difference ($95) you get a complete aluminum trigger guard and housing, a Kidd auto bolt release, a Kidd aluminum mag release, and a Kidd stainless magazine plunger with spring - completely assembled, ready to drop in. Two pins and done.

    Sending you a PM.

+1 all the way! I have the Kidd kit in my take down and a 38 year old 10/22. It makes the rifles perform way beyond the stock configuration. The BX trigger is OK as its lighter but its still a bit mushy like the stock one. I actually use the stock trigger return spring as I want to have a more positive reset.

Kidd. Think of all the money you will save shooting .22 LR.

For $50 the BX is a nice easy to swap upgrade and definitely a better trigger pull than most you will get on a stock 10/22. I got one to try and like it.

I think for most 10/22 upgrades you will hear Kidd though I think you can get 6 bx triggers for the cost of 1 Kidd 2 stage.

Or six base 10/22 carbines for the price of a Kidd Supergrade, or six tofu patties for the price of a filet mignon. Once you've tried a very good or an excellent trigger, a BX just won't cut it. The Kidd Trigger Job, in my experience, kicks the BX to the parts drawer. My next Appleseed will result in someone getting a BX - a noticeable improvement over a stock Ruger - for free.
I go back with 10/22s to the days when the hot setup was a VQ competition hammer and a stack of washers to shim the slop out a bit. In fact, I have one of those setups in the parts box, along with a Ruger Target and a BX. I can make THREE stock Ruger shooters happy! The BX's superiority to stock says more about the stock trigger than the BX.

Once you eat filet mignon you will be too ashamed to like a double-double said no one ever

What Appleseed? I volunteer to be the free bx recipient plus I always wanted to try that course.

                Not a double-double tofu.....

I'm thinking Piru, probably in May. I'm still healing from back surgery. The Bakersfield guy quit doing Appleseeds.
