    .17hmr

I bought one back when they came out and ammo was reasonable. Great for ground squirrels as long as it isn't too windy. More recently the ammo price has gone well beyond the plinking range so the .17 rarely leaves the safe these days. When hoarding stops and prices return to normal it will get recalled to active duty.

I have a Marlin 917VSF in 17HMR with a Simmons Master Series Aetec 4-14X44 with adj parrallax. This rifle give me more confidence than most of my rifles at 100yds even with light winds. At 100 yds I never shot anything worst than 1.5" group even with winds and I'm not that good of a shot.
