    Ruger 10/22 Takedown question

I have a 10/22 takedown with the Magpul backpacker stock.

I have the factory rail installed with a red dot.

With the rail in place, if I remove the red dot, I still can not use the factory sights.

I put on a set of tech sights (TSR200RL), but could not zero them for windage. The front sight was just too far to the left, making point of impact right of the point of aim. I had the red dot zeroed, so I could see the issue with the front sight pretty easily.

Are those sights not a good fit for the takedown?

I really like the ghost rings on my PCC. Is there version of those for the 10/22 Takedown?

Looking for some advice, as I want iron sights I can use with the red dot.

    TIA

Does anyone think that this will help?

I installed this mount and use the factory sights. Works real well and keeps the red dot zeroed to the barrel.

That works with the factory irons?

The EGW rail for the take-down is made so you can use the irons.

Secure your optic with premium, USA-machined rifle scope mounts, bases, and precision scope rings from EGW. Engineered for rock-solid zero retention.

Yes it does. Use the non-raised cheek piece from magpie and Irons are no problem. I run the raised cheek piece and it is right on for the red dot.

I got the UTG rail with channel, $7. I'll eventually get the Magpul one but when I was looking, I dealt with sticker shock.

There's a "see through" riser Pic rail I've used on 10/22s (got one on a TD I put together with a backpacker stock). It looks like a square tube, rail on top, holes that line up with your receiver on the base. You can just see the factory sights through that as the base is thinner than a typical rail, and mount your red dot up top. Around $10 on ebay...
