Good news for anyone wanting a 10/22 really cheap:
Turner's Grand Opening Sale on Florin Road, Sacramento. March 1st.
$99 for a Ruger 10/22 in Stainless Steel.
Bad news:
Limit 40 in the store
Better get out there right now and camp out. You may already be too late.
Having had a 10/22 since the early 80's, it's a great plinker or platform to trick out as far as you wish. I bought my second one in 1986 at Gemco on clearance for $89 when they shut down. I recall ads for them on sale at $129 for over a decade before they started going up in price. My gun is all wood and all metal. The newer ones use a lot of plastic but they are still a lot of fun to shoot and they only use inexpensive parts on the less critical areas like the trigger guard.
