It looks like the same action/barrel as the Mark 2 FVSR which is great.

I’ve had the mark ii BV for 10 yrs now, 21” bull barrel. Awesome n accurate $300 rifle. I just”upgraded” it with EGW base and 30mm weaver 2.5-10 mil dot scope. Scope is a lil more line with my other bolt guns so it’s a good n accurate trainer.

Mark II BTV owner here and I love mine. Sweet little rifle that will shoot 1 MOA or better if I do my part and the wind is behaving.

To get the best accuracy out of a Savage Mark II you have to spend the time trying out different ammo to find what yours likes. They tend to favor standard velocity 40 grain rounds.

Also, if you get one, look into changing out the bottom metal receiver plate for a DIP Inc plate so you can torque down the receiver better. The stock metal receiver plate is a piece of junk, they're too thin.

You really can't go wrong with a Savage Mark II. They're great little rifles. Buy one and enjoy it!!
