    Registration Question

Hope this is the right place to ask this. Back, along time ago, on my 16th birthday, my dad gave me a Marlin 22cal with a scope. I shot it for a while, got involved in other things, got married, left the rifle with my parents, and when my dad passed, gave the Marlin to my brother who has 4 boys. I don't think he uses it much if at all, and I am starting to shoot again, and want to train my 13 year old how to shoot. I am assuming it has never been registered. If I get it back, should I, or do I have to register it? How do I do it?

It's a long gun. You don't have to do anything but have fun with it since your dad gave it to you. If it were a handgun, you'd have to fill out the intrafamilial transfer form.

Great, thanks. I will pick it up soon and start playing. Not sure what model it is, has to be 30 years old. Hopefully in decent shape. If it is a model 60, I will spruce it up.
