The best looking stock .22lr, IMO. Got it from Turner's for $534.99. I was checking so many stores for it, without luck. Was in Turner's yesterday and they had nothing...went in today, and it was right there waiting for me. Could not pass it up!

I almost went with the Hunter, but like the looks of the Slab Side just a Tad more. I do like the Sights and the Grips on the Hunter better.

Yeah, well, the sights won't matter if you are going to put a red dot or scope on it (I was thinking of doing that for mine), and the grips you can always change out. I kind of like that the slab side has full checkered grips. Maybe we can trade.

I bought the same one from Turners about 1yr. ago and really like it. It has shot everything I have put thru it without a problem.

To the OP, I'm guessing you know about an aftermarket loader called the Ultimate Clip Loader. If not, tell your brother as it is reportedly a fantastic loader. It works on the 22/45, the Buckmark and I believe one or two other makes. It does not work on the MK III Hunter that XeRoFuN and I have unfortunately as the mags are different.

I was able to purchase a custom made loader that slides over my mags and the button. You then pull the loader down and it locks into place at the bottom of the mag. You still have to load the rounds one by one, but you do not hurt your thumb. I believe it is made out of hard nylon. The company is no longer in business, but I imagine if I took it to a machine shop, they could probably make me another one (so I was told).

It works on the 22/45, the Buckmark and I believe one or two other makes. It does not work on the MK III Hunter that XeRoFuN and I have unfortunately as the mags are different.

It will work on the MKIII, as the mags are identical to the 22/45 mags except for the base pad.

Well, I'm glad that I noticed this forum (didn't even know we had a rimfire one) and posted here, because I'd been told it didn't work. I was told the 22/45 was a completely different mag.

I even called the company that makes the Ultimate Cliploader and they said it wouldn't work on mine. That was last year tho, so perhaps they did modify it. I will definitely have to buy one now. The loader I have is easy on the thumb, but I still have to load one at a time.

I thought I was doing you guys a favor and you did one for me. Thanks.
