10/22 Auto-loaders

I'm looking for an autoloader for my Ruger 10/22 (stock 10rd mags) and have seen that there are basically 2 out there. One from Butler Creek (sometimes rebranded as Ruger) and one from Shooters Ridge.

I looked on YouTube to see people using them and pretty much every video I have seen of either one make it look like more trouble than its worth.

So anyone here have experience with either brand? Love it? Hate it?

Both look to be about $30.

I have the Butlers Creek and it works as advertised.

I also have the butler creek one.
Works great on my prebans, no need for it when it comes down to the factory 10rd mags.

i have the butler creek as well... worth it imo even if your just using it on the standard 10rd mags.

i like the butler creek but i only use it with butler creek magazines

ramline makes a neat one that works with everything but drums but feels pretty flimsy

I had a Butler creek loader years ago, it worked great with their mags, but not at all with factory mags. I've heard since then that it's only meant to work with mags that load straight into the body, not the rotary feed that Ruger uses.

it works fine with my factory mags... just takes a minute to get the hang of it. i got tired of blasting through mag after mag and having to reloading 10+ mags by hand. its not fun when youre also reloading for the misses who knows .22lr is so cheap she can go ape sh*t and empty magazines like no tomorrow.

I've had both and the Butler Creek is the only one that works well. The only problem I had was when I ran it over with my Jeep. I had to get a new one, as loading those mags by hand sucks.

Looks like Butler creek is the winner! Thanks for input, I'm glad I didn't buy the Shooters ridge one.

I can't imagine any magazine being easier to load than a standard Ruger 10/22 10-rounder. I guess these could help prevent getting your hands dirty...

I bought one of those loaders with Ruger's name on it. I think I bought it from CDNN or possibly Copes. I love it.

@cuda3x2 - I think you mean RamLine and they were discontinued and replaced by the Shooters Ridge model.
