    Browning Buck Mark Contour

I'm not very familiar with Rimfire firearms, not having own one before. Looking at getting a .22LR pistol, both of plinking and also for practicing pistol shooting, which my wife and I both horrible at (shooting pistols once every 3 years isn't helping....).

Looking at the Browning Buck Mark Contour, I like how you can easily pit a red dot on it. Is this is considered a good/reliable pistol or should I be looking something else?

    Thanks.

Great and very accurate pistol for the price point.
Will eat almost any 22lr reliable, lots of aftermarket support and available in several California models.
It is my personal go to rimfire pistol. Buy it, you will not regret it.

Just bought a Contour URX. I put a red dot site on it. Great fun to shoot. If you're in/ around North San Diego, you're welcome to shoot it.

Thanks for the generous offer, I am based in Northern California however. What kind of red dot sight did you put on it? I'm thinking of getting the pistol with the red dot too.

Recently picked up a SS URX Camper, running a Allchin mount.
            Love it.

            Where in Norcal are you?

I had a buckmark and loved it, very reliable. Switched to different models for styling. Tried the ruger SR22, gsg 1911, sig mosquito, and currently trying an advantage arms xdm conversion and CZ kadet conversion.

Excited to try the kadet, similar design to the buckmark blowback.

Sold the buckmark to purchase a AR pistol but I was using a cheap red dot on this mount (currently for sale) and it ran perfect very accurate and fun.

It was a Bushnell red dot I had on my .22 AR upper.

                Pretty sure it's this one.

                  Great gun. Buy it.

If you can, perhaps find the longer barrel that is off roster.

This is what I did... I bought a cheapie Buck Mark for $269, put a 7.25" Contour barrel on it, and made my own version of this:

Just got done putting a Holosun red dot on it and am waiting to take it to the range...

I would second buying the cheapest and customizing it if you are into working on your guns at all. All buckmarks are good pistols out of the box, and the parts are easily interchangeable.

Yeah, changing out the barrel was tough - one screw.

Buck Marks are amazing... I have two, with 4 barrels total. All interchangeable.

Yeah man, I have the contour 5 1/2 " model. I bought it last year at Turners, sale price was $379.98. I put a TRS 25 red dot on it. It's a fun gun to shoot and I've never had one hiccup with it. I almost feel bad shooting it with a red dot.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Where do you get the aftermarket barrels and rails from? I've read and seen the ones from Tactical Solutions but those parts are pretty expensive.

Go directly to Browning for the price list and the parts.

Call them directly to order, and be prepared for 1980s-level service. No tracking numbers, you talk to one lady in Montana who sends your order to someone in Missouri, neither of whom communicates with the other.

There are just two ways to order: (1) by phone, (2) by fax (believe it or not).

The stuff does come, though, eventually.
