MKII pistols are topson my book.....the MKIII series have te loaded chamber indicator, magazine disconnect, but do have a more traditional mag release (no more heal release). The 10" model you have is not common and holds a premium as does the Government model.

Thanks for the information. Other than the barrels on our pistols, I couldn't see much external difference between OP's MKIII and my MKII pistol, so I figured it was something internal.

Here's my MKII... just swapped in a BURRIS FF3 mount plate. It had a HIGH MGW mount with the BURRIS PIC RAIL low mount on top before and it was3x higher. This looks much better. I recommend this mount if you need one for a FF3. Easy install.

The difference between the two was significant. The used trigger feels like it has had work done. It breaks clean at about a 3lb pull. There is no play at all between the frame and the receiver. In comparison the new MkIII had a muddy and heavy trigger and a bit of play when the barrel was twisted side to side.

Does the used one fire without a magazine? Sounds like the previous owner might have taken out the mag disconnect.

Still fast though IMHO. No breaking your grip at all. I like it.

I had my MKII 678G out the other day and the trigger is not as nice as I remember and certainly not as nice as I hear other people raving about. I haven't shot it in a while. I have Volquartsen parts in it and it still breaks pretty harsh IMHO. Funny, I think I prefer the GSG 929CA trigger to that MKII. It is not that great a trigger. Better than a stock MKII and better than a stock Buckmark, but a 10/22 trigger with Volquartsen parts is much better. It still needs work, but it is close enough to leave it be.

This is odd, there maybe some other interference with the parts, otherwise the trigger should be crisp and light.

I have installed Volquartsen sear and Clark hammer bushing in both of my Mk IIs and trigger in each is around 1.75 lbs. Good enough not to bother with further parts polishing.

Nice ones. Nah I think the trigger is fine... I shot a ton of bricks through it, specifically federal 550/575 Bulk packs through it and it had no problems nailing empty 12 gauge hulls over and over. I think I just have some better triggers now. It was never as light as my 10/22 VQ parts trigger. It kind of remind me of a much lighter stock 10/22 trigger. I wouldn't call it crisp. Like I said though, better than a new Buckmark.
