    What is a clip?

A clip is when you go to the local barber and get a cool fade.

Be sure to clean them every once in a while. Mine tend to jam up and stop feeding.

They actually become more reliable with use. When new mine would have a failure to rise.. Took them apart and cleaned them when new which improved them. Fully loaded them and after using several times the issues went away.

They were a little wobbly as well which changed the feed angle so I got the
KIDD Stainless Steel Magazine Latch Plunger with the higher tension spring and the mags are more firmly held in place.

Mine is an older 10/22 with the carbine stock and metal barrel band

Because this is the way it's supposed to be pink. Lest we forget what freedom looks likes.

Not too many years ago here in Kali you could buy a BX-25 "repair kit". A complete magazine in knock down form, took about five minutes to fully assemble the first one.

Tried the Butler Creek Hot Lips and Steel Lips way back when but never cared for them.. These Ruger mags are much better... again, mine had to be broken in..

Yeah the out of state posters are kind of annoying especially if they were never here (Calguns) before they moved. BUT it is good for us I GUESS.

I always used 25 rounders. I probably bought at least four BC hotlips before we picked up 10/22's way back when. I recall buying my four at Wildsports here in the Sac area. They still work, but I think there is one that drags a little... spring might be going or just wax buildup needs cleaning. They need very little maintenance though considering they got speedloaded and emptied at least ten times each range trip back when we were shooting 22's all the time. The Ruger BX-25 and BX-50 are nice and they disassemble and re-assemble easily. Butler Creeks are cool because you just snap them together to make a flippable pair that holds a box of ammo. But I guess the BX-50 is fine.

I'm sure there's plenty of new shooters here that feel oppressed hearing about people who have been in the sport forever and before the regular mag sales were forbidden. I'm sure it is mostly these poor souls that feel the need to come back and hang in a CA forum just to rub it in.

Yep, there is freedom out there. I wouldn't say OR is the best choice, but better than here at least for regular mags (for now).

The 10/22 is nothing to brag about at all. It's an ok gun but I'd much rather have a tube fed 22.
