    Rossi M 62 got one!

Scored a Rossi M62 today, $350 plus tax, one of those impulse buys. Only one spot of finish wear on the slide, and the wood is perfect. Just happened upon it at a LGS, here in ABQ, NM.

Guess I dodn't have to buy that Henry pump I've been debating on, now to continue the hunt for a 22 magnum!

Thanks almost didn't do it, but I asked for the "make me take it home price" and they dropped it by $40 I said OK!
Wood is lighter colored than other examples I've seen.

Compared to a Winchester 1906, 62 or 62A, that's a steal....you may need to purchase another rifle, or two, or...!

Very nice! Looks like the M62 that I gave to my son, same light colored wood. I kept the M59 .22 magnum which has darker wood.

Good score OP, wish I could get one
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

              Congrats!

I owned one for a little while but sold it. It's a great little gun but I found it boring :-(

I think it makes a great survival rifle. Tube fed, no detachable magazines to worry about becoming illegal, etc..

Mine is my son's favorite rimfire hunting rifle. He has made dozens of headshots on jackrabbits and cottontails, as well as slain a bunch of ground squirrels. He prefers old school firearms, usually packing his Single-Six along with the Rossi. My Rossi does have the darker, kinda purplish wood.

My scenario... I'm on the way to the grocery store and decide to stop at the LGS to see if they have Makarov ammo and spot the Rossi on the rack.. Out comes the debit card and the Rossi accompanies me to the grocery store..

Nice find. And a great price. Always liked the pump action .22s

Oh thanks for the 22 mag model number now I'll know what to keep an eye out for!

The Rossi 62 is a fun little 22lr pump rifle...I bought mine new back in 1995 for 190 bucks. I didn't realize the Rossi 62 was so marketable these days since it is a replica of a Winchester 62 22lr pump rifle. I understand Rossi stopped making them, but looks like people will still snap up a good one when they find one.

Owned both: the Rossi and the Henry .22 pumps....

Gave the Henry to my nephew...

Put a scope on the Rossi..... NOT happy with the scope mount option... Strict "dovetail" mount.... Anyone have a different mount option (other than drill and tap) ??

I have been happy with UTG "air gun mounts" which fit a 11 mm dovetail. You can get them in pairs or I prefer one piece or one piece cantilevers. They have been very solid for me with no walking around on the rail. You can find them on Amazon under UTG or Leapers:

You can also get conversion plates from dovetail to weaver which may give other options with parts you have on hand:

Pay attention to height and length requirements.

                              Good luck!
