Help with Marlin 80

Hey, i have a Sears branded model 42-103, which is a Marlin 80,
I havn't shot it in many years, its like brand new, as i remember though, when i did clean it i just removed the bolt and cleaned the barrel with everything in place -
I was curious though if the barrel comes off for cleaning and how, and if that would be a more proper way to clean it, it kind of looks like the barrel and receiver are just one piece together

its not meant to be removed you just remove the bolt and mag dont lose the magazine they arent cheap (they are not super expensive but they still go for like $30)

Absolutely not, it is a press fit and pinned in place.

I have another question, i have this scope on it, but when i shoulder the rifle the eye relief is not correct, i have to push my head forward to get a clear picture, - the scope needs to come back, but the rings are as far back as possible, and the scope is limited by the rear ring because the center of the scope bottoms out on that ring.
the rings are tip-off i believe, i'm a little confused i see tip-off, 11mm, weaver, they all look similar.
I am looking for one ring that is offset to the rear so i can move the scope back the last 3/8" it has before it hits the front ring, i think that will be enough.
I can't seem to find any online that will clamp to this gun, it has a very thin groove that's milled into the receiver
Or any other solutions that will move the scope back

I can't tell from your photo if the rifle has a dovetail mount. If so, you can get an "air gun" type cantilever mount and it should allow for you to get the extra rearward movement without putting it up too high. Here is an example:

If you have an older period scope that has smaller diameter ( eg 3/4") you can still get a 1" cantilever but then get Delrin scope ring reducers from Brownells.

If the rifle only has screws, another option can be Weaver Top Mount Bases, if the screw holes line up, then cantilever mount etc as noted above.

BKL makes a nice set of offset rings just for that issue, I use them on my Mossberg. I bought mine through Havlin's, a specialist in all things Mossberg, and their price was very fair. This is what they look like:

They could be reversed front to back depending on the individual need.

I found this cantilever mount from BKL and it fits perfect, and my scope eye relief is right on.
