red dot magnifier - lowest option?

i put a bushnell trs25 on my 10/22 and it works fine. but i really can't make much out beyond 50 yards or so. the iron sights are trash so the red dot is my only sighting method. i'm thinking of putting a magnifier on there and it seems they're mostly designed around the ar platform and sit pretty high, too high to be useful on this gun.
are there any good options that would pair well with the non-elevated version of a red dot? of course, i'm referring to the flipable mount deals.

I had a 3 x magnifier and bushnell on mine. Worked fine but added some weight.

Cheap UTG one, the bushnell trs 25 will need a UTG 1" riser I believe.

That's the problem with most of them now, is they sit too high. You might try Ebay for an older Aimpoint 1000 and the thread on magnifier. I've had one on a Ruger MK1 bull bbl for years, sits low, never given me a problem.

Get a 1x3 weaver. mounts low and has the same magnification in a scope. True no lit retinal but otherwise a great choice. I have them on 2 22's

A 30mm Primary Arms magnifier mounted in a low ring might be a good option.

Mounting a magnifier low enough to use on a 10/22 is going to be difficult, mainly in finding the magnifier and mount that will work.

You'd probably be better off replacing the TRS-25 entirely with a scope and rings.
By the time you buy a magnifier and mount you're at about the same price as a rimfire suitable scope.

Check out the Primary Arms Illuminated 1-4X scope and low or medium scope rings.
Think of it as a red dot you can zoom in with.

I use a variable 2x-5x magnifier from Lucid. It's pretty good. However, note that when you increase the magnification, you'll have to adjust eye relief to the magnifier.

Get a proper low mount for it.

I like how i can follow up quickly with the red dot so i was hoping to stay away from an actual scope but yeah, the math seems to add up like that. If i must have it i may go the route of that utg and just raise the trs
