    Winchester 9422 on layway

This is another purchase in a long line of bad purchases from a financial standpoint. I just couldn't resist, for I found the stock to be really pretty. I just needed to add a 22 lever action to the collection. This may or not be my gate way drug into Cowboy Action Shooting.

    I like it.

Kudos OP.. I bought one from an old friend a few years ago (ca 1975) it looked like it had never been shot. The build quality is far better than the Henry, it doesn't shoot any better but it sure is purdy.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

          Great get OP!
My 9422 is 39 years old. Cases of ammo of all sorts gone through it.
The only thing I had to repair was an ejector.
It's worn and has some stock dings/nicks, but it shoots better and better every time I've taken it out.
Lots of good memories packed into that rifle.

My father had one that was just beautiful, and shot really nice. One day he up and sold it without telling me. I would have bought it in a heartbeat.

You'll enjoy it thoroughly. I have one with a pistol grip and it's a joy to shoot.

Great rifles , built like a tank and you should be able to pass it down a few generations and it will still shoot well.... good buy... congrats !

Great rifles. Well built and beautiful as well. I have an unfired 9422M in my safe.

Bought mine used at former B&B Guns in O.C. Sold it too a friend at work, Stan. Every time I saw him after that he commented on how accurate it shot. Wish I still had it

The full length dust cover rail makes a world of difference in the "when I run out of bullets I'm going to beat you to death with the pistol" look that causes bad guys to run in fear, and lesser men to feel inadequate. It looks just plain beastly and the extra heft up front does help manage recoil a bit better. Plus, an angel told me that when God called JMB to heaven it was to build him a full rail 1911!
