    S&W Model 41

I've been looking for a nice small bore target pistol to compete with my wife's High Standard Victor. One model of particular interest has been the S&W model 41 and I finally found one for a decent price.

It arrived at my FFL's today and I grabbed a few pictures before it went into the safe for the obligatory 10 "cooling-off" period.

Victors are nice, I have one. But a good shooting 41 just feels better in my hand. Seems to point more natural, for me anyways. Nice score.

Here is the Victor. I'll have to do a shootoff

I bought mine to be competitive in our local club's bowling pin shoots. Many moons ago! Won my share of hams and turkeys with it too, at Monterey Sheriffs Reserve fundraiser at Laguna Seca. Kicked butt at wood chopper and woodpecker events.

Victor is good, but I always did better with a borrowed 41. One of these days I'll snag one.

Very nice 41. On my buy list.
If you can't shoot good, at least look good shooting

Nice! I love shooting mine, it became one of the most brought to the range things after I got it. I like the longer barrel on yours!

I have a model 41, High Standard Supermatics 100, 101, and 102 series, and several customized Rugers. I like the 41 best.

The Model 41 is a great American pistol. I prefer the 5 1/2 heavy barrel.

                        Thanks for the feedback, guys!

I'll post a ranger report when I get it out of jail.

I'm a believer in these too Mustang. After buying my 1st one (a 5-1/2") I sold off my Rugers (2) and bought another M41 with the long BBL like yours. The long BBL is a natural fit for me. I sold off the 5-1/2 and my Browning Medalist (cant compare to the Browning cause it was too purdy to ever shoot) Now its just the 41...I'll never sell it. Your gonna love your new 41!

I have never shot a more fun gun than a 41. (It even rhymes)
