    Quick Henry question

I want to buy a H001 (18" barrel) or a H001L (16" barrel). If I get the H001, I would be putting on a large lever. (Can't be the next Lucas McCain with a small lever)

The question is are the extra 2" really that important for accuracy at less than 25 yards with open sights? I prefer the carbine length of the "L".

Please answer quickly, the money is burning a hole in my pocket and I want to jail it this afternoon. My local Sportsman's Warehouse has both in stock.

    Thanks in advance!

At 25 yards, you should be just fine assuming your eyesight is better than mine.

Buy what you want unless you intend to go farther out later.
That then becomes your Calguns excuse to "buy both".

You all can relax now. I bought the big lever carbine.

Good choice. I prefer the carbine as well, because the lighter weight makes it easier to shoot off hand. Never shot with the large loop lever; just played with the action. I hope you like it.
