I had a TSR200 on my 10/22 at my Appleseed, and it worked great. I have no complaints about the sight. I highly recommend checking your zero just before the Appleseed event. You have the entire first day to get your zero right, but you'll find the experience much more enjoyable and helpful if you can concentrate on the invaluable new skills you'll learn rather than worrying about getting your zero right. The people who chased their zero all day looked rather frustrated....
Enjoy Appleseed, it's an awesome program! My one piece of unsolicited advice to you is this: Trust your natural point of aim (NPOA). (If that makes no sense right now, don't worry, it will). On the first day I didn't, and it made the timed tests so much more difficult (e.g., on the sitting portions of the qualification test, I never got all ten shots off within the time limit). On the second day, I (essentially blindly) trusted my NPOA and not only made all my shots well within time limits but--much to my surprise--shot rifleman in two tests and missed rifleman by one point in a third test. Trusting my NPOA made all the difference.
