    RPR trigger pull

So I just picked up my new Ruger Precision Rimfire and unboxed it. Didn't have time to mount a scope yet, but I pulled out my Timney trigger pull gauge and right out of the box -- no adjustments -- the trigger breaks at barely 1.5 pounds! It measured there very consistently, several times.

I see the manual says it is adjustable between 2-1/4 and 5 pounds. So is anyone else seeing a trigger pull this light, straight out of the box? I would have expected it to ship with the pull adjusted at the heavy end of the range, not the light end. Or did I get lucky and get an aberration, with an unusually light trigger? I have to say it feels really nice.

Or considering where I bought it (a big fishing store that also sells guns), it is entirely possible that one of the "experts" that work behind the gun counter was playing around with it during the 10 day waiting period we suffer here in California, and adjusted it as light as possible.

    Thoughts?
