                I think the Gen 1 GSG5 clones put the bad reputation on the map, those had a few problems. Along with the association to Umarex which literally is an Airsoft company. Also, junk .22 ammo in itself creates a huge negative buzz. I only use the good CCI stuff in mine.

                All I can say is I've got a few thou rounds thru mine and haven't had a single issue. Literally the only negative thing I can say about it is the black finish isn't the most robust.

                If it helps your decision, CA legislation neuters the 9mm's so much I wouldn't personally want one in this state.

                      im on the market for one.. but cant seen to get a good deal. i dont want to spend more than 300$ .. anyone know of a LA LGS carrying these?

                        That definitly gives me something to consider. The sheer price of the 9mm clone is tough to swallow. If the 22 is reasonably good then that might be the way to go.

                            Buddy of mine had the Walther and damm that thing ate all the ammo we gave it. Did about 5 "mag dumps" of Federal bulk and no hiccups.
                            Saw Inception, or at least I dreamt I did.
