Dude that is a wide road. What type of shooting will you be doing. Boyds has some great laminated stocks. Fajen had a awesome target stock but they are not made any more. Here are some others from a Shooting Times Article.
Ruger's 10/22 semi-automatic .22 LR rifle is one of the most user-modified guns in the world, so there are more aftermarket accessories and equipment made for it than for almost any other firearm model.

I built my son's CMP Rimfire Sporter match rifle using a Hogue Overmolded stock and he really liked it. Shot Gold metal scores with it once he got the hang of it. CMP actually postes an article about the first RFS match he shot several years back.

That M1 carbine stock is cool. I got to get me one of those.

I like the Boyds stock for a great ergo feel and when paired with a light carbon-wrapped barrel, the overall weight is pretty light.

Having said this though, I also like the Hogue over molded stock for my heavier build (used mostly for bench or hunting in inclement weather). It has a great non-slip grip and is comfortable with or without gloves.

I like the Tac Star myself. It has a removable channel so you can drop in a .920 barrel if ya like. The rail section is reversable so it can fit flush if you don't want a rail.

First question is what is wrong with original stock?
Second question is what do you want to do with the rifle?

After 45 years of shooting, I find the original stock works well overall. I need a longer LOP, so I added an extender.
