I'd offer $500. It's a "deal", but not a scewing and he doesn't have to go to any effort to sell it. More than the LGS would give him for sure.

Gunbroker might bring $750 from my quick perusal of completed/sold auctions.

I have a 39M. It's a great little gun. Shoots CB caps through HV.
