I love my Alexander Arm's .17 HMR, incredibly accurate! One eve I took 3 coyote's within 1 min all with headshots at between 100 - 150 yards. I have a Gemtec that does a little to reduce noise but still shooting a supersonic round. Would love a 10/22 configuration in .17 HMR. Buy one and enjoy. Check out Nikon's PROSTAFF 5 scopes, some good promo's going on right now to save some $.

I ended up with a used Savage .17hmr that came with a leupold vx1 3-9. It’s still in jail but for a total of 250$ for the complete package it should work for now. I’ll let you guys know how it shoots.

I realize you have a scope but, for the $$$, this would be a really nice upgrade. Very usable power range & the optics are great for the price point (on sale right now).

All scopes in the S-TAC series feature a 30mm one-piece Main-Tube made from high quality Aircraft aluminum.  Tube thickness is more than twice as thick as one inch models to provide maximum rigidity. Side Parallax focus is available on all SIIB SS models and SIII SS LR Series Riflescopes. Designed for ease of use in prone and bench shooting. For specific focus ranges please see specification under technical details.   The Fast Focus Eyebell allows for quick and easy adjustments when in the field with diopter adjustment ranges from -2.0 to +1.0 settings.  This scope also features Sightron's unique ExacTrack windage and elevation adjustment system. No other system on the market comes close to the precision and performance of ExacTrack.   All Sightron S-TAC 30mm Series Riflescopes feature ZACT-7 seven layer multi-coating with precision ground glass. These lenses provide superior light transmission and resolution for the ultimate in performance.  All models are fogproof, shockproof and waterproof.    Covered by Sightron’s offers a Lifetime Warranty.

Took out my savage today and the thing shoots lights out even with lead free ammo. Way more knock down than the .22lr. Pretty much dead on impact on every ground squirrel. Should of bought one of these guns years ago. The 3-9 scope is clear but a little lacking on magnification. A 4-14 I think will be the ticket. Thanks everyone for your help.

I was shooting cci tnt green and while I never made it to the range to check groups it hit everything I aimed at.

Looking for the best/cheapest caliber to shoot factory copper ammo. Seems like the .17HMR is my best choice unless I'm missing something.

I tried non lead .22lr and gave up. Crappy price, crappy range and crappy accuracy.
.17 WSM is a great cartridge. It'll even take out coyote the only problem I finding the right rifle.
