    Some were made as a Smooth bore, and some as a Routledge bore. The 41SB simply had a smooth bore, no rifling. The Routledge bore was smooth, but opened up towards the muzzle. Both were made for shotshells only.
    I don't know why you would want to, but I imagine you could shoot a .22LR in it, The bullets would be all over the place. No rifling to stabilize it, and if I remember right, the bore was a few thousands bigger than the bullet.
