Is this going to pose any CA legality issues?

I have a 10/22 in a titan stock. I'd like to get a piece of angle iron (something like this: https://images.homedepot-static.com/...64-64_1000.jpg ) and install it on the end of the stock so I can push the rifle into the sandbags a bit.

Seems silly but will this possibly run me afoul of some stupid law where CA will now consider this some sort of front pistol grip? Will it matter on a 10/22?

You should look at benchrest set ups first. You would be much better off modifying your stock to be wide, flat and parallel to your barrel so that it smoothly rides on the bags instead of making something that digs into your bags.
