What Scope & mount setup for the Marlin XT-22 ?

Hello All,

I recently picked up a Marlin XT-22 and my question is about what scope mount to get. I think I'm in the right ball park looking at the DIP rimfire bolt action scope mount (part# MAR-15014)? Or should I just get a set of weaver bases?
I'm going to put a Leupold 2x7 on it. What setups are you guys running on yours? Any tips would be helpful thanks.

Yes that will work. Then add the low or med rings of your choice. For something even cheaper there's this:

I'd suggest against the scope & mount in the link above. The scope has BDC reticles calibrated for 223, and the mount is a cantilevered AR style which will mount it very high & too far forward for the Marlin. You'll get results like this guy:

I had this on Marlin 60, 10/22, Henry 001. This is a see through ring, I can used scope for long range and iron/buckhorn for short range simultaneously.

Thanks for the help guys! I went with the DIP mount, b-square medium, and a Nikon PROSTAFF RIMFIRE II Rifle Scope 1" Tube 3-9x40mm BDC 150 Reticle Matte. Scope was $89 on sale at midway USA.
