    10/22 Takedown Receiver Length

Anyone with a Takedown willing to measure the overall length of the receiver?
Basically from the rear to where the locking piece mounts to the nose?
    TIA, Greg B

6 1/8" from rear to front, front being at where the rear of the round locking collar is.

Thanks, but I'm trying to determine overall length.
From the rear to the tip where the v-block would mount on
standard 10/22. Where o the takedown, the v-block is replaced
by the radiused cam locking piece.
I think Ruger calls it the clamp block, or something like that.

Have to take it apart to measure that.
        Give me a few minutes...

          6 13/16" by ruler.
Can't get more precise than that since my calipers only open to 6".

            Thanks again.
That gives me a starting point.

From front face of mag well extension to the end of the lug is .950".

This should give you a better measurement.

Where are you located? I have two takedowns you can measure. One is a factory Ruger, the other is a X-Ring from TacSol. They should measure the same, but just in case they dont, you can measure both if you are in the bay area.

The inconvenience of poor quality lingers long after the thrill of a good bargain.

Thanks, but I'm down in So-Cal.
                    I appreciate it, though.
