Buckmark Lite trigger went from 5# to 2#

This morning I bring home the Buckmark Lite 7" barrel, impulse buy 10 day ago. I checked the trigger fresh out from the box, it read 5# consistence.

Then I field strip and removed all the manufacture grease , put grease to the sear , and a thin coat of oil on all the moving parts on slide and frame, then bring to the indoor range and shoot 450 rds. Bring home and measure the trigger weight, it read 4# consistence, so after shoot 450 rds the trigger/sear smooth a little bit.

Field strip, clean&oil the pistol and I did the "free trigger mod" by turn around sear spring. Then measure the trigger again, and it read 2#, I repeat 2#, consistence.

Whoa, in 6 hours, the trigger went from 5# to 2# and cost me nothing. Just wish that I can do this to all of my guns .

Hello, OP. Just make sure that it does not affect the reliability of your gun. I've read somewhere, that doing the " Heggis Flip " sometimes cause the gun to have erratic ignition.

Personally, I don't like too light a trigger pull weight. To each his own though. If that is something that you like, then I am happy for you.

Did the spring flip on my buckmark as well, I enjoy it! The buckmark is a target pistol, and the light trigger its it!

Shoot couple hundreds rds last night, I shoot more accurate with 2# trigger, loved it. As I recalled, some of the Olympic target pistols, which are cost couple thousand each, have the electronic trigger so one can adjust to 1 or 2#, it bang just slightly touch the trigger.
So I got myself a (poor man) Olympic trigger pistol for less than 5 bills , not bad at all.
