CLRX is for conceal, SP101 is more liked for plinking. Get the SP101.

SP101 is heavy enough for negligible recoil. I'll shoot 357 out of it all day.
LCR is light and even .38 is not particularly enjoyable to shoot.
I'd be worried about durability with the 357 and even 9mm versions of the LCR... both durability of the gun AND the bones in my hand.

I have a Smith Airweight and it caused severe bruising and swelling when I fired 357.

Neither, get S&W 63 for plinking, better then either of two Rugers.

Neither get Ruger Single Six, it is the best 22 revolver, quick change from 22lr to 22mag.

For plinking I'd get the SP101 or Single 6, 10.

SP101 in .357 mag is a handful, LCR in .38 special much less recoil.

The SP101 will outlive you and your grandchildren. I didn't like the stock grips on mine and put the Hogue monogrips on it, and it fits my hand much better.

He's talking .22 here. I have the SP101 with the Hogue grip (I don't like a grip without a place for my pinky). It is a great revolver, love it but will probably add the LCRx (with adjustable sights) to the gun safe. The LCRx weighs about 17 oz. vs. the 30 oz. of the SP101. Not an issue but I like the design of the LCR series in that they use modern polymers for the frame and stainless on the cylinder.

The SP101 is a better wheelgun. Better trigger. If weight isn't an issue I'd get the SP101 without a question (though I'm not really a fan of fiber optic sights).

Considering a LCRX for the Mrs. as she needs a 22 and she feels her 357 Sp101 is too heavy. I told her to jack off more and increase her wrist strength, but.....

I just recently picked up a 3" LCR-X .22LR and it is pretty good. The trigger is heavier than I was expecting but it isn't too bad. When I went to the store I looked at the S&W 63, Ruger SP-101, Ruger Bearcat, and LCR-X. The fit and finish was best on the LCR-X and the trigger seemed to be best of the four. After shooting it a couple times I can see how the light weight might cause some problems, but that just means I'll have to practice more.

                      Ahh... Didn't catch the .22

Ya, LCR is fine, wife has one and likes it, extra barrel length of the LCRx will make it a (relative) tack-driver.
I think the trigger on the SP101 might be better, and the extra inch on the barrel will be really nice, but that's a lot of coin for a .22

Yep, almost $200.00 difference between the two (SP101=$769, LCRx=$579.00). That is significant.

The SP101 is great for the range, the LCRx is great for the range and hiking

                              I'd get both
